The things people always ask
How long does a website actually take?
A one-pager is usually done in a week. A six-page business site takes about two weeks from the day we get your content. Custom builds depend entirely on what they have to do, so we give you a timeline with the quote. The honest answer is that the biggest delay is almost always waiting on photos, video and text from your side.
What do I need to give you to start?
Your logo if you have one, the photos and videos you want used, and a rough idea of what each page should say. We crop, resize and fit your images and video into the design so they look right on every screen. If the words are the hard part, copywriting is included in the Business package.
Do I own the website afterwards?
Completely. The domain is registered in your name, the site files are yours, and you get every login we set up for you. Hosting is the one thing we run for you, as a service — but it isn't a leash. Say the word and we'll hand the site over and help you move it somewhere else, no exit fee and no argument.
What does it cost to keep the site running?
For a static site — Starter or Business — managed hosting is R150 a month from the day you go live. That covers the hosting itself, an SSL certificate that never lapses, uptime monitoring, and someone to phone when something breaks. Your domain is a separate R100–R250 a year, paid to a South African registrar in your own name — we don't mark that up.
That's the whole list. No setup fees hiding at the bottom of an invoice, no annual price creep. A custom build runs a server and database, which costs more — that's quoted with the project so you see the number before you commit.
Can I update the site myself?
Starter and Business sites are built as static sites — that's what makes them fast and near-impossible to break — so we make the changes for you. A care plan covers a set amount each month, or we bill a small hourly rate for once-offs. Most small businesses change their site a handful of times a year, and this works out cheaper than paying for a system you rarely use.
If you do need to edit content yourself regularly, that's a custom build with a proper editor behind it. Just ask and we'll quote it.
Do you work with businesses outside your area?
All the time. Most of the work happens over WhatsApp, email and video calls, so where you are doesn't matter. We work with clients across South Africa.
How does payment work?
Half up front to book your slot in the calendar, half when the site goes live. EFT or card. You get a proper invoice for your books.
